Balloon Sleeves
Balloon Sleeves add XXL volume to your creation! Thanks to the gathers at the shoulder and the elastic at the hem, they create a bold and feminine silhouette. The volume will vary depending on the fabric chosen: a structured, medium or heavy fabric will give maximum puffiness, while a lighter fabric will offer a more airy effect. These sleeves will also enhance transparent materials, such as lace or chiffon, for a look that is both refined and elegant.
This jumpsuit is made in a heavier fabric than the ones I usually work with. I chose a cotton satin with stretch , a choice that allows me to sew my usual size while creating a piece that is both fitted and comfortable thanks to the elastane. For the pattern composition, the Balloon Sleeves are associated with the Diamond Back top and the Jumpsuit bottom in its wide version.
For my second creation with the Balloon Sleeves, I preferred a more fluid and lightweight fabric, in order to show you two different ways to sew this pattern. I literally fell for the pattern of this crepe with large flowers ! The Wrap Top combines perfectly with a Short Gathered Skirt, creating an ideal mid-season dress, both elegant and timeless.
Bishop Sleeves
Bishop Sleeves exude a retro elegance perfect for your festive and romantic creations. Narrow at the shoulder, they flare delicately to the wrist, where the volume is gathered. A sleeve bracelet, closed by a row of small buttons, adds the finishing touch to these refined sleeves. Available in three lengths adapted to our three heights (petite, standard, tall), these sleeves guarantee a perfect fit for each silhouette.
This dress is the perfect party outfit for the New Year's Eve countdown! The Bishop Sleeves are bold in this sheer devoré jacquard. And the volume doesn't stop there with the short Circle Skirt that twirls with every move. The Circle Back Cutout top brings a touch of sophistication with its delicate but not too open back. A little tip if you are sewing a fabric with gold thread, remember to line your dress well or it will make you itch ;-)
Tie Sleeves
The Tie Sleeves will bring a romantic and delicate touch to custom creations. They will go perfectly with a summer floral dress or a white poplin blouse. Everyone can let their creativity run wild to associate these sleeves with your favorite patterns! The long sleeves are available in two lengths and 3 sizes (petite, standard, tall), to guarantee a perfect fit.
I never get tired of wearing these leopard pants that I have already presented to you! This time, I paired them with a black viscose poplin shirt, with the tie sleeves in their long version. The Classic Shirt top is hacked with the tutorial available on my blog. I opted for a refined version by sewing only the collar stand, which gives a modern and refined look.
The Tie Sleeves , in a short version, are perfect for creating dresses that are both romantic and modern. For this version, I chose a heavy polyester crepe . I like its structured side while being comfortable to wear. I paired it with the Basic Bodice Top , with its V-necklines in the front and back, for a touch of elegance. The Front Slit Skirt in its midi length is ideal to complete this refined look.
Bell Sleeves
The Bell Sleeves will add a touch of fantasy to your custom creations! The flounce, fluid and airy, will flourish perfectly on a light fabric, while it will take a more structured shape, almost corolla-like, on thicker materials with hold. The flounce starts just above the elbow, thus offering a 3/4 length to the sleeve.
The leopard trend is everywhere at the moment, and I have to admit that I love this pattern, especially when it's a little more subtle like on this satin . This dress is perfect for dancing and having fun! The Bell Sleeves pair perfectly with the peplum ruffle of the A-line Skirt. As for the top, the Boat Neck gives it a timeless elegance.
