Bye bye 2021, Cheers to 2022
The beginning of the year is a good time to take a break, take a step back from the past year, remember the milestones we've reached, and set intentions for the year ahead.
So I had fun going back through my Instagram feed to remake the film of the year 2021 at Atelier Charlotte Auzou. 2019 was the year of the launch of customizable patterns, 2020 that of uncertainty and daily upheavals with the health crisis. In 2021, I reached cruising speed without major changes but with many small actions to continue to develop and bring my brand to life.
I invite you to remember together month by month what happened this year and I will tell you at the end of the article about my ambitions for the year to come. But first of all, I send you my best wishes and wish you a year 2022 full of creativity!
JANUARY
A long-term work is coming to fruition, the translation into English of my online store and all the customizable patterns already marketed. I still have many ideas to enrich the patterns but that implies doing it on the entire collection which already includes 34 patterns. Each step taken is already a great accomplishment!
FEBRUARY
I am taking the time to take care of the ebook "My wedding dress" to enrich it and add a new practical case with this short dress and its little lace top. Many of you are learning and launching sublime sewing challenges thanks to this ebook (whether it is a wedding dress or not). Discovering your creations is a huge gift that you give me, so don't stop ;-)
MARCH
I'm giving in to the sheepskin coat trend! This is the opportunity to offer you on the blog a hack and a bonus pattern for the jackets to personalize from my book "My custom wardrobe".
APRIL
I am taking part in the not so easy exercise of the interview with Atelier Brunette and Cornelia Dixit . It is an opportunity to share my entrepreneurial journey because sewing is a professional reconversion. I hope it can motivate you to believe in your projects too.
MAY
This is an appointment that I always look forward to as the process is so long, the new collections of patterns to personalize. For this summer collection, two tops ( marcel tank top and elastic bustier ), as well as two bottoms ( culotte skirt and tiered skirt ) expand the possibilities of customization.
JUNE
Each new collection of patterns is always an opportunity to offer you tutorials on the blog to push the custom-made experience even further and inspire you to give several lives to your sewing patterns. On the program, the hack of the marcel tank top and a quilted belt .
JULY
I have fun flipping my dresses on Instagram to show you that you can have creations that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside :-)
AUGUST
Summer is synonymous with digital detox and camping. Given the rainy weather we've had, this is one of the rare photos of me in shorts!
SEPTEMBER
My patterns come to life thanks to you, I would like to thank you by launching the monthly ambassador competition .
OCTOBER
A very simple pattern to optimize our fabric scraps and avoid waste, that's the idea of the top upcycling that I offer you as a free download on the blog .
NOVEMBER
This is the second collection of the year for customizable patterns. Classic Shirt , Twisted Ties , Pleated Skirt and Shirt Sleeves make it possible to create more than 5,000 unique creations. And this number will increase further in 2022!
DECEMBER
My tradition for the end of the year, the third edition of the #jecoudsmarobedefête competition takes place on Instagram and I am lucky to be followed by loyal partners to spoil the winners.
And in 2022...?
I chose 3 words to define my intentions for the next twelve months for my business Atelier Charlotte Auzou
• Sharing •
I am committed to always being available to help you and share my tips and tricks in the messages we exchange daily. In December, sharing "live" the sewing of my party dress on Instagram was super enriching, I intend to repeat the experience. My brand has no meaning without you, so thank you for all your orders, exchanges, likes, comments!
• Inclusiveness •
Currently, the customizable patterns are offered from 34 to 48 with variations for small and large chests, and for small and large statures . This already allows me to offer a wide range of sizes and not limit my patterns to a "standard" morphology.
But women are multiple and so I want to continue this path by adding several sizes to my grid. This is clearly the greatest ambition of my year because I want to do it on all existing customizable patterns.
• Simplicity •
Sewing can easily become a gas factory. Even more so with a concept of customization and a multiplicity of options and sizes... Many of you have told me about your pleasure in sewing with my patterns, thank you very much! As a perfectionist, I consider that the work is never finished. It is therefore important to take time to step back and continue to innovate to maintain this simplicity.

bien cordialement,
elisabeth
