Customizable patterns for fall/winter, the new collection is here

modern trendy sewing patterns for women pdf dresses jumpsuits atelier charlotte auzou

Already two and a half years of existence for the customizable patterns . From season to season, I enjoy imagining new patterns to enrich the possibilities of creation. The personalized dresses were originally wedding and bridesmaid dresses. With each collection, I strive to offer you more casual styles and patterns that can cross the seasons.

For this new fall/winter collection, I worked on 2 top patterns, 1 bottom pattern and 1 sleeve pattern. Thanks to their versatility, I can imagine winter dresses and jumpsuits, as well as little summer dresses and even exceptional dresses for a big occasion. That's the magic of customizable patterns !

Classic shirt

A staple in our wardrobes, the classic shirt is making its debut in the collection of customizable patterns to allow you to create dresses or shirt combinations.

This pattern takes up the classic codes of the shirt with its collar mounted on a collar stand and its yoke in the back. It has a volume adjusted to the chest and cinched at the waist by small pleats to be able to be assembled with all the bottoms to be personalized .

You can either sew it with a simple assembly at the waist and a zip on the side (like on the Rust viscose version from Atelier Brunette) , or transform the bottom and make a button placket over the entire height of the front (like on the Cedar viscose long dress from Atelier Brunette or the Amandine Cha chambray jumpsuit) . So, no need to put an invisible zip ;-) Everything is explained in a tutorial in the booklet, as usual.

Twisted Links

I wanted to be able to sew dresses with a big bow like the designers I love, Alber Elbaz, Alexis Mabille, Paule Ka... I also wanted to offer you a pattern with a more original assembly and a bit of draping instead of the usual darts, that's how the Liens twistés top pattern came about.

This pattern, with a round neckline, has two long integrated ties on the front that you can tie as you wish. I made a video tutorial visible on the product sheet to help you.

Pleated skirt

This is a pattern that you have asked me for a lot when you write me messages. With this model, I did not want to offer you a pattern that was too simplistic. So I came up with this skirt with a flared corolla volume on which you will be able to choose between two types of pleats: flat pleats and hollow pleats.

You can see that, depending on the fabrics, the volume is totally different. The mix between a jacquard and the hollow pleats gives a great volume. As for the fluid viscose, it is also perfectly adapted to highlight this model. My fabric advice is available in a previous article on the blog.

Shirt sleeves

Who says fall/winter, says long sleeves! This pattern was easy to imagine, the shirt sleeves perfectly complement the classic shirt top.

A pattern is always an opportunity to learn a sewing technique. Here, you will discover in step-by-step photos how to absorb the bulge when assembling a sleeve. This pattern is also an opportunity to assemble a capuchin slit at the wrist.

If you don't yet know about customizable patterns , go to the Concept page to discover how they work and begin the custom sewing experience!
