New: PDF patterns to sew your personalized dress
After many months of preparation, I am very proud to present my new offer for seamstresses: sewing patterns to personalize your dress and create a unique, tailor-made model.
Those who have my book " My Custom Wardrobe " or who have been following me for a while will not be unfamiliar with the concept. You know that customization and custom-made are two concepts that are particularly close to my heart in my approach to sewing.
GENESIS OF THE PROJECT
Last summer, I decided to stop offering my line of personalized dresses for the bride and bridesmaids. The idea was to devote myself to new professional projects, take the time to have my second little baby :), but also to rediscover the pleasure of sewing and creating. A lot of pattern-making work had been done to offer customizable and custom-made dresses to my customers and I thought it was a shame to abandon this work... So the idea was born to share it with you. The reception you gave to my last book which uses the same concept also reinforced this idea.
CONCEPT
The concept is simple and gives endless possibilities: sew a unique fitted dress by mixing a pattern for the top , a pattern for the bottom , and a pattern for the sleeves . For this collection, I offer you 6 tops, 4 bottoms and 2 sleeves to mix to compose your dress, which makes more than 200 possible combinations and even more if we add your choice of fabric. So the designer is you!
PDF SEWING PATTERN
I have chosen to offer you this collection as a digital pattern to print at home only and to distribute it exclusively on my online store. I will share with you next week here on the blog the reasons for this choice and the advantages that it represents for you in your sewing experience.
SIZES
Every woman is different, so working on sizes was essential. As with my sewing book patterns, I work on the same grid that goes from 34 to 44. I chose to stay within what I master and not to expand this range for the moment. This project is of course in my head, but not yet current. I will keep you informed :)
What's new compared to my books is that this grid is enriched with two new elements: your bra cup and your height .
In the interest of tailor-made products, and given that the dress models that I offer you are fitted and adjusted, it seemed essential to me to offer two patterns for the busts for small and large busts, namely A/B and C/D.
Then, because when you are tall or short, shortening or lengthening a hem is not enough to make a dress fit perfectly, the patterns are also available in three heights: less than 1m60, around 1m65 and more than 1m70.
•
I hope these new patterns will inspire you to create a cocktail dress, an everyday dress, or even a wedding dress (yes, it's possible!). I'll let you discover some inspiration photos to discover what you can now create and I can't wait to discover your interpretations on Instagram with the hashtag #MaRobeAtelierCharlotteAuzou .

Bonjour,
